Hugo Puttaert(BE)

Hugo Puttaert (°1960) is a graphic designer, writer, organizer, teacher and editor based in the greater Brussels area, Belgium. He graduated at the Fine Arts department at LUCA Brussels and earned a pedagogical degree at LUCA Ghent, worked as a graphic artist for several years before starting his own graphic design studio visionandfactory in 1990. Hugo is also the head of the graphic design department at St Lucas School of Arts, Antwerp and he is the initiator of the international renowned Integrated conferences, a biennial organisation in collaboration with deSingel.

Hugo has been a speaker at several international design conferences and has contributed to a number of magazines, books and newspapers. Since 2005, he is editor-in-chief and creative director of Addmagazine.eu, a magazine focusing on cutting-edge graphic design. Hugo Puttaert and visionandfactory have worked worldwide as designers and consultants for a wide range of businesses and cultural organisations, integrating corporate and editorial design skills with innovative communication strategies.

Hugo will moderate the main lectures together with Mieke Hooghe and Thomas Crombez.
